The history of mediumship shows us that trance work provides experience in developing close connections with Spirit because it helps us build trust. In this session, participants will focus on developing deeper awareness of altered states and the different stages of trance along the continuum. Presentations and exercises will offer ways to deepen your understanding of energy and the difference between intuition and psychic connections, dialogue with Spirit—messages from Spirit—and the process by which we can eventually learn to let go of obstacles in our minds and allow Spirit people speak for themselves in partnership or offer healing. Whether you are just starting your spiritual exploration or are seeking additional training, this class offers an opportunity for growth and learning.

Join us for this online event where we will explore the powerful energy of trees and learn how to connect with them on a deeper level. Whether you're a nature lover, a spiritual seeker, or just curious about the magic of trees, this event is for you! We will discuss how historic mediums used their time in the forest to develop their connection to spirit and develop their clairaudience. Participants will learn how to use specific chakras to develop the “claires” and will learn how to blend with trees. Each tree offers something different as do the various parts of a tree. Even the leaves have something “to say”. Don't miss out on this opportunity to deepen your connection with nature and experience the transformative power of tree energy.

  1. We believe in Infinite Intelligence.
  2. We believe that the phenomena of Nature, both physical and spiritual, are the expression of Infinite Intelligence.
  3. We affirm that a correct understanding of such expression and living in accordance therewith, constitute true religion.

  5. We affirm that communication with the so-called dead is a fact, scientifically proven by the phenomena of Spiritualism.
  6. We believe that the highest morality is contained in the Golden Rule: “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”
  7. We affirm the moral responsibility of individuals and that we make our own happiness or unhappiness as we obey or disobey Nature’s physical and spiritual laws.
  8. We affirm that the doorway to reformation is never closed against any soul here or hereafter.
  9. We affirm that the precepts of Prophecy and Healing are Divine attributes proven through Mediumship.

History  image

On September 12, 1903, the State Spiritualist Association purchased the 10 acres from Earnest C. Oberteurffer (1876-1934). The Association built the State Spiritual Camp, called Camp Edgewood.

In 1927, a hotel later called the Healing Center was nearly destroyed by a fire in January 1948, and refurbished in 2004, to include a second floor with bedrooms. The Spiritualists over the decades have held numerous activities including retreats, readings, and levitation sessions, never turning anyone away from the camp who wanted to use the facilities.

Today, the Spirit Center still includes the Healing Center, an auditorium, large classroom, a séance room, chapel, a gazebo, and rose garden. A tower was built for the original church bell to be rung to announce services. To this day Spiritualists still serve at Camp Edgewood in the summertime beginning Memorial Day thru Labor Day.
